校长致辞Headmaster speech

正如富兰克林的名言所说的,倾囊求知,无人能夺。投资知识,得益最多201612,陕西理工大学石墨烯研究所成立,由此展开了秦巴资源开发应用的新篇章。

陕西理工大学石墨烯研究所坐落在中国历史文化名城——汉中市。汉中北倚秦岭、南屏巴山,汉水横贯其间。夏无酷暑,冬无严寒,气候湿润,宜学宜居,素有汉家发祥地,中华聚宝盆的美誉。汉中市地质构造复杂,成矿条件优越,是省内主要矿产资源富集区,目前发现矿产92种,产地近千处,有探明储量的矿产60种,矿区289个。全市非金属矿产储量大,经济价值高,有开发利用优势,现已开发利用矿产44种,为发展有色、钢铁、化工、建材及非金属矿工业奠定了基础。目前,在先期准备工作的基础上,研究所已有研究人员16人,其中教授2人,副教授7人,具有博士学位16人,留学归国人员2人。近两年,取得国家项目6项,厅局级奖10项,取得发明专利15项,公开发表论文50余篇,国内外学术交流30余次。主要进行石墨烯制备与性能研究,石墨烯器件与应用研究和石墨烯产业与开发研究等三个方向的工作。

无论从石墨烯领域发展前景,还是从国家目前的产业转型看,石墨烯作为最有代表性的碳材料,有可能在新材料领域掀起一股类似于互联网产业的变革大潮。这里的研究人员兢兢业业,一丝不苟,致力于陕南资源化学与材料的研究与开发,为把陕西理工大学石墨烯研究推向全国并促进地方资源的研究与开发利用而努力奋斗。

十三五规划的激励下,国家明确将新材料列为重要的战略新兴产业。从宏观政策看,我国石墨烯的发展得到了国家和各级地方政府的大力扶持,国内石墨烯产业制备技术和应用技术均取得了长足发展。国家自然科学基金委员会已大力资助石墨烯相关项目;国家引导石墨烯产业成立了相关石墨烯产业联盟;《中国制造2025》、《新材料产业发展指南》等文件中也明确将石墨烯材料作为新材料的发展重点。

新的希望业已开启,我们将进一步面向国家战略需求和国家新型碳材料科学前沿,以把研究所建设成为具有国内一流水平的石墨烯研究基地、高层次石墨烯科技优秀人才的培养基地和促进我国新型碳材料高技术产业发展的孵化基地为目标,积极探索,锐意进取,开拓创新,不断优化学术环境,荟萃优秀人才,强化与国内外科研先进的合作,提升创新能力,乘风破浪,扬帆远航!

 

As said by Benjamin Franklin, an investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. The Institute of Graphene, Shaanxi University of Technology was established in December 2016, which launches a new chapter in the development and utilization of natural resources in the Qinling-Bashan area.

The Institute of Graphene is located in the Chinese historical and cultural city—Hanzhong, which lies between Qinling and Bashan and is along the beautiful Hanjiang River. With pleasant summer and mild winter, as well as humid climate and evergreen woodlands, Hanzhong is especially amiable and expedient for living. It has long history and rich culture heritage, with a number of ancient sites dated back to Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) and Three Kingdoms (184-220 AD). Hanzhong also features rich natural and mineral resources, including huge underground reserve of graphite mines.

The newly established Institute currently has 16 researchers, including 2 professors, 7 associate professors, 16 junior scholars, and 2 overseas returnees. In the past two years, they received 6 national grants, 15 patents, and over 50 publications, and also involved in some 30 academic exchanges nationally and internationally. The mission of the Institute is to develop methodologies of graphene materials for fundamental research and practical applications, with focus on graphene preparation and characterizations, graphene device and applications, as well as collaborations with local graphene-related industries and government-funded initiatives.

Graphene as the most promising carbon material will likely bring a magnificent change in future material science and applications. The researchers here are dedicated, meticulous, committed to this emerging new direction at the Institute. With our effort, we hope to ultimately contribute to promoting R&D in China's graphene development.

The development of graphene in China has been greatly supported by the state and local governments at all levels, and the preparation and application of graphene industry have made great progress. The National Natural Science Foundation of China has strong support to graphene related projects, with graphene materials listed as an innovative material for high-tech development.

We encourage the researchers work toward the national strategic demand and new carbon material science frontier, and build the Institute into a graphene research base and an education base for graphene material science. We wish the Institute and the research team all the success!
